Logic pro x vs garageband1/8/2023 ![]() Most of my plugins are 3rd party anyway so the DAW becomes more of a tape machine. Logic just seems to ‘work’ better in terms of not having to waste time on computer stuff and just being able to record. The thing is that I like both programs a lot and still use PT from time to time. Logic’s drummer plugin is absolutely amazing. Add to that the fact that I’d have to buy a new iLok and my Macbook is short on USB drives. PT11 came out just after I bought PT10 and I didn’t qualify for the upgrade. It’s been the same with every computer I’ve ever run pro tools on.Ģ. I felt with PT10 I spent more time trying to get my external HD to stop indexing and crashing PT than I did recording. The only reason I’m back to Logic is for a few reasonsġ. Then I went back to Logic when X came out. I started on PT in 2004 (as an upgrade from a digital 8 track which was an upgrade from a cassette 4 track).
